Habits Are as Much About Un-learning as They Are the Actual Habit

Always glad to see you back! If we haven't connected yet on Twitter or Facebook - be sure and add me when you get a chance :) Make it a good one!

Day 2

I realized this morning that, not only am I creating a new habit of  (literally) sending out appreciation, but I’m also changing the habit of not tuning into the appreciation I have for other people.

This is a 43 year old habit (until yesterday – grin) of NOT taking the time each morning to pause for a few minutes and tell someone how extraordinary they are.

I do have the habit of sharing myself and good vibes via email replies each morning – but that’s more reactionary than it is pro-active.

I “get” how important it is to the flow of everything good to have gratitude, appreciation and celebration for yourself and others (heck that’s how Twitter works best!).

I get that.

I’m just not in the habit of it …. yet.

This morning I sent a thank-you card to my Aunt Pat.

Hmm I wonder if I should add the stipulation – 365 days of cards to 365 different people?

Ooh that’s stretching the old “possibility zone” LOL

What habit will you begin changing today?

Thank-you for taking this journey with me :)

Andrea

Great post Andrea, it’s true. Sometimes we take for granted other’s people appretiation and don’t see the importance of showing them what they mean to us. Keep sending good vibes!!! I will be around to caught them :)
